HOW DO I LODGE MY APPLICATION?
You have to lodge your passport application in person (attend an interview) if:
- You are applying for your first Australian passport, or
- You are applying for your first adult passport (over 18 years old), or
- You are replacing a lost, stolen or damaged passport, or
- You are replacing a limited validity travel document (this includes emergency passports), and/or a passport issued after 20 August 1986 with and original validity of less than 2 years, or
- You are applying for your first passport after resumption of Australian citizenship
- You are applying for a concurrent Australian passport
Please schedule the interview at your nearest Australian Embassy or Honorary Consulate accredited to conduct passport interviews. To make an appointment for an interview in Stockholm please ring +46 (8) 613 2971. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Applicants who are unable to travel to Stockholm, may find it easier to travel to:

Please call to make an appointment before travelling to any of these offices. You can pay in cash at the interview in Stockholm and Copenhagen or choose from the payment options listed in the section "How to I pay for my passport?". Please note that the Embassy in Stockholm does not accept credit card payments. The Honorary Consulates in Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius cannot accept credit or cash payments.
Lodgement of application by mail
Applicant who do not live within the Stockholm Greater Metropolitan Area (commuting distance), may lodge the application by mail directly to the Australian Embassy in Stockholm.
